Caregiver Resources

Taking care of yourself, as a caregiver, is very important. If you do need a break, do not feel guilt over that decision or need. Contact your Hospice Social Worker or nurse, because there are options for caregiver assistance.

Hospice Volunteers when available.

OASIS respite vouchers:
This is a program provided by the State of Oklahoma that provides $400.00 in free vouchers over a three month time frame that may be used to pay someone to sit with your loved one. You must apply for this program and it is not income based. Anyone over the age of 65 will qualify for the service.

Bereavement Support Group:
All caregivers and family members of current LifeLine patients are invited to the "Hope in Healing" Support Group.  The group meets the last Friday of every month in the Library of the Glenhaven Assisted Living Center, 404 S. 29th St, Chickasha.  The group is led by Rev. Greg Brooks, M.S.W. / Chaplain.
